When you choose to pay your rent online through RentTrack using your bank account, the first step is to connect to your account by entering your online banking log-in information. This is the same username and password that you use to sign into your bank's website online to check your balance or transfer money. You might have been allowed to enter this information in manually during the sign-up process.
We take your security during this process very seriously. When you log into your bank account from RentTrack, we use state-of-the-art encryption to keep your account info safe, and we never store your log-in credentials. Your account and routing numbers are also encrypted for maximum security.
To send a payment, you must connect a bank account, or enter in your routing and account number. We recommend using a personal checking account or a business checking account that has your name on it. Unless they allow you to draft checks off the account, you cannot use a savings account or an investment account to send payments through RentTrack.
To find a bank account, type the name of your bank. You can connect an account from most major banking institutions. If you do not see your bank, try a different account if you have one with another bank. If your bank is not on the list at this time, please contact our support team.
Connecting to your bank keeps your payment information safe, secure and accurate. It provides an added layer of security to prevent identity theft and fraudulent payments, and also makes sure that we can successfully process your rent payments by letting us verify your account and routing numbers directly with your bank.
