NOTE: The answer in this article only applies to you if your landlord or property manager collects rent online through RentTrack. If you signed up for RentTrack without your landlord and pay by a check that is sent via mail, please see this section in our help center.

RentTrack offers residents the incredible opportunity to build credit history at all three major credit bureaus without incurring debt. To do so, we have our own costs of processing, compliance, building a great product, and providing amazing customer service. In short, we're a real business - with the admirable goal of helping every renter in this country get credit for one of their largest monthly expenditures.

RentTrack offers property managers the option of either paying the technology fee or passing it to their residents. The technology fee is partially based on the type of payment method you choose. There is a notice about this fee in the payment setup wizard, as well as on the payment confirmation page. You'll also see the technology fee amount in your receipt.

Credit Cards carry a large processing cost, and you will notice this in the size of the fee. We always work with our property managers to make an e-Check option available at a smaller fee.

We're working hard on making this your preferred method of paying rent, and hope you find the corresponding value in our product.
