NOTE: The answer in this article only applies to you if your landlord or property manager collects rent online through RentTrack. If you signed up for RentTrack without your landlord and pay by a check that is sent via mail, please see this section in our help center.
Scheduling a Payment
If your property manager does not have a payment window, you can set up a payment anytime.
You can schedule your payment for the same day as long as you do so before 7:45 PM Eastern. If you attempt to schedule a payment for today after that time, the software will require you to choose tomorrow. This is to allow RentTrack to get all payment information to our payment processor, who stops accepting payments for that day shortly after our cutoff.
A Credit Card payment made on Monday before the cutoff will get deposited to your property manager's bank account on Tuesday.
An e-Check (ACH) payment made on Monday before the cutoff will get deposited to your property manager's bank account on Tuesday.
Note: A PINless debit card has an earlier cutoff time of 3:45 PM Eastern. Payments made Monday after this time will fund to your property manager's account on Wednesday. Payments made before this time will fund on Tuesday.
Some property managers have "payment windows." For example, the window might be "open" between the 27th and the 3rd every month. This means you will only be able to schedule a payment during the window, and you would only be able to choose days that fall within the window. This is often done to make accounting easier since all charges can be posted before the window, and late fees assessed immediately after the window.
If your Make Payment button is disabled, hover over it to see the payment window dates.
